Web hosted Electronic Health Record Software from $99 a month!

01 Sep 2011

PracticeTracker™ practice management platform receives EHR certification enabling physicians to apply for up to $44,000 in government incentives.

The new healthcare bill (HITECH Act) provides an incentive to make healthcare records electronic in order to streamline and cut a major part of healthcare administrative cost. The difficulty for physicians is the complexity and large new investments in information technology required to implement Electronic Health Records (EHR), and integrate it with general practice management software and electronic billing.

Tranquilmoney, Inc., a New Jersey – based software company, now offers the new certified-for-EHR version of their proprietary PracticeTracker™ web-hosted practice management software starting at $99 a month per physician. Tranquilmoney is currently offering a 30 day free trial of PracticeTracker™. To start getting the full government incentives this year, physicians need to apply by October 3, 2011, so this offering is a low cost way to get started.

Tranquilmoney has provided practice management software combined with billing and collection services for over ten years to the US healthcare industry. Until now, their service was only available for a comprehensive monthly fee including the software, data entry services, custom reporting, consulting, electronic billing, and A/R follow up services.

With the new “self service” option, a physician’s office can now sign up on the web site, use the training material, and start using the features, including practice management as well as the EHR features. The physician becomes eligible to apply for the government incentive of up to $44,000 after demonstrating meaningful use of the electronic health records. PracticeTracker™ has recently been certified by agencies appointed by the Department of Health and Human Services as complying with the requirements to monitor meaningful use of electronic health data. Industry wide, this should lead to better outcomes and lower costs in the healthcare system.

Clients may still choose the complete “full service” option which provides the software plus add-on services for an all-inclusive monthly fee, which varies based on the type of practice. This would provide transition services to move data from old software systems, or even paper, to the new certified system. Additional services include claim submission services, cash posting services, follow up on unpaid A/R, and general consulting.

Says Nilina Kuriakose, Executive Vice President, “We have had a complete practice management solution for several years. We have now added the required features for certified EHR, so it is the only fully integrated solution for a physician’s practice. We have designed our new version keeping in mind the need of providers to meet the new requirements of the HITECH Act and manage EHR efficiently, while keeping upfront investments low. Combined with our add-on services for transition and daily support, we offer an unbeatable solution to make the entire process of transitioning to the new system trouble-free.”

Dr. Karun Philip, Chairman and CEO of Tranquilmoney, adds, “We also seek to work with existing healthcare administrators in local communities and will provide free Weekend Webinars to help them get familiar with the software and then offer the software plus their services to local practices.”
